Air Conditioning Units Vs Swamp Coolers

AC and coolers are used in a lot of homes across Utah. Utah air conditioning is important because the summer months can be quite hot. Which should be used, however - a swamp cooler or AC?

There are advantages and disadvantages to both units. A cooler is nice for places that have dry climates, like units. They bring in water to the air to cool it down. Coolers, or Evaporated coolers, have been a popular choice throughout history.

People may prefer swamp coolers to Utah air conditioning units because coolers are easy to use. Swamp coolers may save you money if you only have a small area you need to keep cool. Air conditioning units are more for homes, not small offices or rooms.

Coolers are also easier to install. Do-it-yourself people appreciate that they can put swamp coolers in themselves. Utah air conditioning companies are needed to install ac units.

Coolers are also less expensive. Swamp coolers can be expensive, but if you are looking for a swamp cooler that does not have all the bells and whistles you can easily find one for less than $500. This is the lower-end units, however.

Coolers need to be in dry climates, however, to be useful. They do not cool down homes that have high humidity, the way an ac unit would. AC reduces the humidity in the air, so they do not depend on the climate.

AC doesn't have to be winterized like coolers do. Coolers are always using water. Therefore, they need to be disconnected and drained during the winter, where ac units don't because they have a closed-system refrigerant.

Coolers and air conditioning units have many advantages. Study these out before purchasing one. This way you won't be surprised with your purchase.
