Trane Heat Pump Prices

Trane heat pump prices vary according to their features, performance and energy efficiency. They can be classified into four types - standard efficiency, high efficiency, super efficiency and ultra efficiency. The standard efficient units are Trane's low-end pumps while the ultra efficient units are the high-ends.

Most of the Trane features are present in almost all of these types except for the ComfortLink and the two-stage operation features which are only available in the high-end units. ComfortLink is Trane's technology communication that connects key components to indoor units so that the pump is automatically charged, configured and calibrated. This feature also gives added performance and efficiency to the heat pumps. The two-stage operation feature on the other hand runs the cooling and heating process through two compressors This process is beneficial especially for homes that experience intense temperature changes and bigger houses; and even though the pump prices are higher than the standard Trane units, they are practical enough in terms of combining the costs for separate heating and cooling compressors.

The other obvious differences between all types of Trane units besides the heat pump prices are their cooling and heating efficiencies, their nominal sound levels and their registered warranties. The nominal sound levels of the Trane pumps range from 74 to 78, with up to 78 ratings for the low-end types. Meanwhile, the high-end units have the best cooling efficiency of up to 19.00 SEER and heating efficiency up to 9.00 HSPF. The low-end units will only have cooling efficiency of up to 15.00 SEER and heating efficiency of up to 8.5 HSPF. These low-end efficiency rates are good and practical enough for smaller homes or spaces.

Energy Star's standards state that the higher the HSPF, the better the performance of the unit. Thus, with an HSPF of 9.00, the high-end Trane units are obviously a lot better than their low-ends with 8.5 HSPF but the highest recorded HSPF in the US today for HSPF is 9.4. This record is still far better than the best heating pump of Trane. Its low-end however, is still far above the lowest recorded 7.0 HSPF in the country. Not bad for the general standard types of the line.
