While negotiating on the purchase one must also try to get the original sale receipt of the unit if the unit is till covered by warranty and free service clauses.
The older the unit it is more likely that the power consumption will be more. So the newer the model better would be consumption of electricity. One must also check the outdoor unit of the air conditioner to make sure that it is not damaged or in bad shape. The outdoor unit is essential for proper functioning. Also the remote control for the indoor unit must also be checked. One must also try to get the owner's manual so that the functioning of the unit can be better understood.
There would be options available like split air conditioners and window air conditioners. You must satisfy yourself completely before buying the unit so that in the future after the purchase you don't face many problems.
